The elegance of food
“The elegance of food”, is a great exhibition, held in occasion of the EXPO 2015 to celebrate in Rome the perfect relation between nutrion, the main subject of this universal exhibition and the dressmaking ability of the Made in Italy.
The exhibition is focused on many aspects of fashion, from the materials to the embroidery, and food is the central thread, a “recall to nature” according the three natural elements: water, air, earth and fire.
Inside all the museum rooms, you can find more than 160 creations among acccesories and dresses, photographic images and videos, holograms, video mapping and visual art, whit food and natural raw materials as the heart of the exhibition, and fashion as yesterday’s today’s and tomorrow’s central theme.
Dresses, accessories, photographic images and videos, video mapping and visual art create a contemporay and creative itineray where the Made in Italy, the high craft industry as well as the tradition of the “fair and well crafted” become a clear evidence of how and how much fashion has been able to take its inspiration from nutrition. Furthermore, the exhibition, is enriched by the korean artist Yeonju Sung’s pictures, a dreamlike journey which by using eight images tells us how food can comunicate with fashion taking its forms.
