Raccontare Traiano
The tale of the Trajan's Markets area in a contemporary interaction between architecture and space.
An exhibition of projects by the European Institute of Design, part of the exhibition design, launched in 2012 by the three-year 'Interior Design' course.
"Raccontare Traiano" (Telling the story of Trajan) is a project by Roma Capitale, Department of Culture, Creativity and Artistic Promotion - Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali, with museum services provided by Zètema Progetto Cultura.
23 students have been working on an ambitious thesis project: the elaboration of 8 exhibition proposals dedicated to the figure of Trajan.
The exhibition is designed by the architectural firm 2a + P.
The exhibition seeks to show that design and architecture of space may contribute to the contemporary approach to history, transforming an archaeological site on a journey into the present.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of interaction, both through the use of innovative technologies and materials through simple devices, able to simplify the processes of creation and make the visitor active participant in the exhibition.
