Memoria. A personal exhibition of Antonio De Pietro
Memory is the focus of Antonio De Pietro's research: theemory of his origins and his land, Calabria (Diamante), and its symbols: bowls, chairs, keys, doors, gates, chains, love letters. Individual symbols become universal in De Pietro's art, keeping alive a country that is fast disappearing. The artist creates every single piece of his work: builds the frame collects wood and iron objects, and assembles them in the painting, in which glues and sands have equal importance of oil colours.
